October 16, 1896: "S.R. Cuddeback was awarded the contract to cover the bridge at Bridgeville on his bid of $174.50." & "The bids for covering the bridge at Bridgeville were as follows: A. P. Barney $226, Delos Felt $275, S.R. Cuddeback $174.50, F.A. Jameson $280." (Ferndale Enterprise)
August 22, 1899: "The Supervisors concluded their session Thursday afternoon and adjourned until Sep 18th. The closing business of the session included allowing F.A. Jameson $20 for work on the Bridgeville bridge." (Ferndale Enterprise)
April 18, 1925: "It is learned that the Mercer-Fraser Company of Eureka expects to start construction on a bridge across the Van Duzen river at Bridgeville within six or seven weeks. The bridge will be of reinforced concrete and will replace the covered wooden bridge built for the county more than 40 years ago." (Blue Lake Advocate)
November 21, 1925: "The concrete bridge at Bridgeville, built by the Mercer Fraser Company is completed and has been thrown open to the use of the public. This modern structure takes the place of the old covered wooden bridge which spanned at this point and served the public for nearly fifty years." (Blue Lake Advocate)
