ROARING CAMP
October 27, 1969: "Santa Cruz County, the 'covered bridge capital of California,' topped off its bi-centennial celebration yesterday by dedicating a new covered bridge designed 125 years ago.
The 40-foot bridge, on a dirt road near the mountain resort of Roaring Camp 15 miles north of Santa Cruz, is the county's fourth span of the pioneer variety.
Other covered bridges are at Paradise Park, built in 1872, and at Felton and Glen Canyon, each constructed in 1892." (San Bernardino Sun)
