October 23, 1897: "Messrs. Fred Hill and Seymour Acorn have completed their contract for covering the Redwood Creek bridge. That structure, which is 120 feet long and 12 feet wide, is now substantially covered and will undoubtedly prove a strong protection against the elements." (Blue Lake Advocate)
