NORTH FORK YAGER CREEK (IAQUA)
North Fork Yager Creek
February 4, 1959: "The board approved recommendation by Charles Shaller, director of public works, to allow the Van Vleet Company to replace the present covered bridge over the north fork of Yager creek with a log bridge.
The present bridge has a load limit of five tons, not enough to handle log loads Van Vleet plans to haul from that area. Since this is the only site available for the log bridge it would have to be located where the covered span now stands. The road would have to be closed for a short time during the replacement.
Thomas M. Montgomery, county counsel was instructed to draw up an agreement with Van Vleet." (Eureka Humboldt Standard)
